I've been working in Glenrothes, so I've been out and about in Fife.

What I thought was a micro moth in a bird hide at Loch Leven, but I've been told is actually a Mothfly (Psychodidae).

Pettycur Bay Harbour at low tide. Looks like sand - but if you stand on some bits you find there's mud underneath.

What looks like sand is actually mud covered with sand. In some areas you put your foot down and it sinks in. My shoes were well covered in mud. Walking on a sandy beach cleaned them well.
