Trip to Schiehallion
On 5 & 6 June I took a trip to Kinloch Rannoch to do some birdwatching. It was a great couple of days. My first stop for a photograph was in the Sma' Glen near Crieff, where I saw some Ring Ouzel.
An old ruin in Glen Quaich.
There were loads of red grouse with their chicks.
Red grouse males tend to hide and then give you a fright by flying up. It definitely is distracting when you're trying to watch their chicks.

Early Morning at Schiehallion
I was up Schiehallion not long after 4am to see the Black Grouse Lek. Unfortunately, the mist that was on the top of the hill rolled down and obscured my vision of the Lek. I saw a few male black grouse and heard plenty.
