Helophilus pendulus - This hoverfly is sometimes called 'The Footballer' due to its stripy thorax.

Greenbottle - some insects need a Latin name - but this one is completely identifiable by its' English name. I find Latin names a bit pretentious, so where an English name defines the species, it will do.

 Peacock Butterfly - it's easy to see why the name "Peacock" comes into this Butterfly's name.
